... mails keep coming in requesting meeting brochures via our brochure request page. It is 30 degrees outside! No wind, only sun. Not a cloud in sight. So you think everyone is taking a nap in her/his hamaca, even at the corporate offices. Apparently not. Corporate meeting planners seem to be busy bees right now. However, I must admit: this flow of requests might be slightly incidental (haven't experienced it in that extent in previous years), but, then again, I have 2 reflections:
Getting your meeting and incentive brochure in the picture: always a hit
- Brochure requests have been popular ever since I am in this business. A direct or combined e-mailing offering a brochure request: always a hit.
- Our recent communication research among Belgian meeting and event planners and agencies learns us that direct sources from the supllier are highly valued and considered reliable. That is, for example, a meeting guide.
- Our recent communication research among Belgian meeting and event planners and agencies learns us that the holiday periods are exactly these months when planners have the time to plan. It seems that, more and more, planning should happen out of the 'crazy' months of February, March, May, June / October, November. Planners are just overbusy then.
Our next brochure request mailing to association planners is dated 19 September 2013. Maybe we are two months late and should have set it on 19 July? Jokes apart, our timing for next years brochure e-mailing to the corporate market: there we might move it to the end of June. Who's in?
